Pasquale LT Signature Series Custom Guitars were developed as we took our concepts that we introduced in our ST Signature Series Custom Guitars further into the modern world. The technology of modern guitar making is always evolving and our goal was to evolve with it. The mission in designing our CUSTOM SERIES of guitars was to search the world and find the absolute best combinations of hardware and materials available to create the finest possible guitars that you can buy. The PASQUALE LT SERIES GUITARS were designed to feature a modern “locking” style tremolo added to the advancements we made to our ST Signature Series Custom Guitars.

In 1976 a young Jewelry maker named Floyd Rose invented a new way to eliminate the “string snag” that came with the standard tremolo units that were available on electric guitars that were made at that time. His new invention featured a clamp that would lock the strings in tune at the nut and prevent them from sliding over the nut which thereby eliminated the string snag. Thus “The Floyd” was born and soon it would be a household term and the guitar world would be changed forever.

Our original designs for our PASQUALE LT SERIES GUITARS featured a modern version of Floyd’s original designs that were made by Schaller Electronics in Germany. (For those of you that do not know, the Germans make the best metal products in the world) The Schaller bridges were well made and served our purpose for many years.

However, In the Mid 2000’s a company called Floyd Upgrades headed by a man named Adam Reiver gave the original Floyd Rose design a shot of steroids and revamped the design to greatly improve the tone. He added a big brass block, tapered the saddles and improved the balance. Adam later changed the name of the company to FU TONE and they became the leading edge of modern technology when it comes to professional grade locking tremolo systems.

In late 2012 PASQUALE CUSTOM GUITARS began an OEM relationship with FU TONE to create the PASQUALE USA CUSTOM GUITARS SIGNATURE BRIDGE. I worked with Adam to design a bridge that would get the most response and performance out of our original guitar designs. Our bridge features a Big Brass L Block with a Brass Claw and Noiseless Springs. We also added Titanium Insert Saddles and the Classic FU TONE Locking Nut. These Signature Bridges are the best balanced bridges in the world and their tone and tuning stability are unmatched. As our Guitar Series Line evolved we knew that we wanted to add a Locking Tremolo(LT)to our signature line and there was no question as to the exclusivity of the bridges we would be using.

PASQUALE USA CUSTOM LT SERIES GUITARS all feature FU TONE Signature bridges with locking nuts that mount at the top rather than mounting through the rear of the neck. The Original Floyd Rose designs would mount through the rear of the neck because some people believed that this added to the tone. I have done hundreds of Floyd nut installs both through the neck and top mounted and I have found no significant difference in the tone. However I have found the drilling through the neck tends to weaken the neck and this can cause some tuning issues as temperatures and humidity changes.

This is particularly evident in necks with angled headstocks. In addition to using a top mount locking nut all of our PASQUALE LT SERIES GUITARS feature flat “zero degree” headstocks which eliminated this weakened condition.

The Big Brass Block in our signature bridge adds tremendous sustain as well as a brighter punch that really brings the tone out the tone of the natural EQ that comes from the characteristics of the wood.

PASQUALE CUSTOM LT SERIES GUITARS also feature a recessed tremolo cavity that allows the bridge to go sharp as wells as flat. We also offer a Brass Trem Stopper feature with our bridges for those players who prefer the bridge to only move in the downward position. This allows us to use the recess cavity to get the bridge and string action as low as possible while still allowing the bridge to be set stable so it will not go sharp. The Trem Stopper mounts in the rear tremolo cavity and is adjustable with a screwdriver so it can be switched from the “fixed” to the “floating” position easily in a matter of seconds.

PASQUALE CUSTOM GUITARS SIGNATURE FU TONE BRIDGE added to the design changes that we made to our original ST SERIES GUITARS makes for an extremely well balanced and aggressive guitar that takes tone and performance to new levels of responsiveness.
